Overview:
Prairie Springs Cottage
The cottage was originally a rugged limestone barn built in 1876. It was used as a dairy barn for many years, but stood mostly empty until it was renovated in 2007 to accommodate guests. It features three bedrooms, two downstairs and one up. Two are equipped with queen size beds, one with a king size. Two bedrooms include bathrooms ensuite, which are furnished with antique claw foot tubs. The other bath offers a shower, and opens on to the hall right next to the third bedroom. There is also a daybed with a trundle in the upstairs sitting room, making it possible to sleep eight people comfortably. The kitchen has a range, refrigerator, an antique farm sink and supplies crockery and cooking utensils as well as a washer and dryer. Each level has a sitting area. The French doors open onto a spacious back deck where you can sit and enjoy an early morning cup of coffee while you listen to the birds. A gas barbeque grill is also available for guests’ use and there is also satellite TV for those who need a bit of the world at large.
